Limiting communication is never the answer. Seriously. Yeah, it may be hard to say some things to some people.
But the thing is, when they find out that you kept something from them, or ignored them (they most likely WILL find out, don't kid yourself), they are going to be hurt even more than if you had just said it to their face in the first place.
And here's the deal, with me at least... I will NOT be offended... as long as it's completely honest and truthful, I will respect the way you feel about whatever it is.
The moment you hide it from me, or even go so far as ignoring me so as to not HAVE to say something, I immediately lose a LOT of respect for you. Because basically you're saying that I'm not even worth the time and effort that it takes to offend.
How the heck does that spare my feelings? It doesn't... Like I said, it hurts more so than the initial offense would have.
Think of it this way... Hate is not the opposite of Love! True, it is on the opposite side of the same coin; but it is still a part of the coin, without one, there is no place for the other. You can't have a 1 sided coin...
The "Coin" is passion. There is passion for (this is called Love), and there is passion against (that would be Hate). The true opposite would be the lack of a "Coin" all together.
The lack of the "Coin" (Passion) is "No Coin" (Indifference/Ignorance/apathy). So by ignoring the issue, or even the other person them self; by showing this indifference, you are exercising the very antithesis of Love itself!
And what's more is; this indifference, this apathy, this ignorance is the same thing the bible warns against when it says that if you are lukewarm God will spit you out!

Random Catharsis!

Might as well reach for the stars... Sure, it may very well end before you get even 5 feet off the ground, but at least you're living for something. If you live just to get by you won't be disappointed, but you also won't ever achieve your dreams. Someone once said, "A dream is a wish your heart makes." If it's in your heart, it's a part of you. You can't afford to not listen to your heart; especially in this finite world...
So make your plans, reach for the untouchable dreams within you, and struggle for the unreachable goals that you can only just barely glimpse. Your failures, for there are sure to be plenty of them, will only serve to make you stronger.
It is wise though to not let these plans, or failures for that matter, rule your life or dictate what you do. Instead, we should look to God for guidance in our decisions. Yeah, OUR decisions... It's not a matter of God being ruler of our lives and telling us what we can and can't do, but rather, he should be the ruler of our HEARTS and out of our God-filled hearts we will end up doing God's will through our own free will.
I suppose what I'm trying to get at is this... Do what your heart leads you to do, but do it in a way that glorifies God... Because he certainly deserves it.
